Concept2 at Fitness Supply

Concept2 got its start in 1976, when brothers Dick and Pete Dreissigacker began hand-building composite racing oars on a former dairy farm in Morrisville, Vermont. That obsession with engineering precision led directly to the 1981 launch of the Concept2 Indoor Rower — the machine that grew into today's RowErg and quickly became the best-selling rowing machine in the world. Concept2 equipment now sits in Olympic training centers, CrossFit boxes, university rowing programs, and thousands of home gyms.

Concept2's line has since expanded well beyond the RowErg. The SkiErg, introduced in 2009, brought the same flywheel technology to Nordic ski training, and the BikeErg followed in 2017, rounding out a full cardio ecosystem built around a rugged frame, chain-driven flywheel, and the PM5 performance monitor. Concept2 machines are prized for near-zero maintenance and workhorse durability — many units log a decade or more of daily use in commercial facilities without a hitch.
