Vision Fitness traces its roots to 1996, when Johnson Health Tech — the Taiwan-based manufacturer founded in 1975 that has built equipment for brands like Trek, Ivanko, and Ross — launched Vision as its first in-house fitness brand. Vision quickly made a name for itself, introducing folding and full-platform treadmills in 1997 and patented folding elliptical trainers in 1998, technology that helped the brand collect more than 50 "Best Buy" awards for its treadmills, ellipticals, and exercise bikes.
