Dane 2.0 Functional Trainer – Experience Real Resistance with a 1:1 Weight Ratio Design

The Dane 2.0 features a half rack in the front with a commercial grade functional trainer built into the rack. The combination of squat rack & functional trainer in one provides a smaller footprint (and lower price point) than two stand alone units.

Overview

The Dane 2.0 combines a front half rack with a commercial-grade functional trainer built directly into the frame, delivering two cornerstone training modalities in a single, space-conscious unit. With just sixty inches from front to back, the footprint remains compact while the utility expands dramatically. The squat rack is built from heavy-duty materials for dependable stability and includes low-profile spotter arms for confident work outside the uprights. The pulley system is highly adjustable, so angle, range of motion, and resistance can be tuned precisely for each movement.

Commercial Pulley Performance

Dual 160-pound weight stacks operate on a true 1:1 ratio, which means one hundred pounds feels like one hundred pounds at the handle. This approach preserves heavy resistance while allowing a smaller stack than a typical 2:1 system, keeping the overall design compact without sacrificing performance. The result is a functional trainer that fits tighter spaces, reduces cost, and still hits the loads serious training demands.

Dane 2.0 pulley stacks

The refined stack housing increases available cable travel outside the rack to nearly six feet, expanding exercise variety while maintaining the dual 160-pound stacks and the true 1:1 feel. Aluminum pulleys with a widened channel minimize friction and drag for a smoother pull and more direct force transfer through every rep.

Thoughtful Upgrades in the 2.0

User feedback informed several key improvements. The top plate was reduced from ten pounds to five to allow finer load adjustments for isolation work, rehabilitation progressions, and beginner-friendly setups. A dedicated selector-pin hole on the top plate simplifies light starts. The cable path now reaches approximately 5.8 feet outside the rack and swivels across one hundred eighty degrees for natural positioning in high and low angles. At ninety-three inches tall, the frame provides ample reach for lat pulldowns, low rows, and long-line cable patterns. Custom-fit rollers let each trolley glide with one-hand adjustments yet lock solidly when the pop pin is set.

The Rack

The rack section is built from 11-gauge steel and rated to a 1,200-pound capacity, with 3-inch by 3-inch uprights drilled for 1-inch hardware. Extension feet increase base stability during heavy squats, while low-profile spotter arms support confident lifts outside the rack. Upgraded sandwich J-cups use thick UHMW liners to prevent steel-on-steel contact and protect your bar. Inside and outside surfaces receive a thorough powder-coat application for enhanced rust resistance, even in more humid environments.

Included Attachments

The Dane 2.0 arrives ready to train, with essential accessories included at no additional cost. The package features two D-handles, upgraded reverse sandwich J-cups, extension feet, a landmine attachment, and low-profile spotter arms—representing a value of more than six hundred dollars and eliminating the usual accessory add-ons found with many systems.
