Octane Fitness

Octane Fitness got its start in 2001 in a basement in Coon Rapids, Minnesota, when founders Dennis Lee and Tim Porth set out to build a better zero-impact elliptical trainer. The gamble paid off — their first machine sold within 45 minutes of being delivered to a retailer, and Octane went on to invent the recumbent elliptical category with the xRide in 2008 and the lateral-motion LateralX in 2012. The brand's Zero Runner uses independent hip and knee joints to replicate a natural running stride without the joint-jarring impact of a treadmill, a genuine engineering breakthrough in low-impact cardio. Octane is now a division of TRUE Fitness, a fitness equipment manufacturer with over 40 years in the industry, giving Octane machines the backing of TRUE's commercial-grade engineering standards.
