Schwinn

Schwinn at Fitness Supply

Schwinn's roots go back to 1895, when Ignaz Schwinn and Adolph Arnold founded the company in Chicago and built it into one of America's most recognized bicycle brands. Schwinn brought that cycling engineering into the fitness world in 1965 with the Deluxe Exerciser, one of the first stationary bikes ever sold for home use, and cemented its place in gyms and training rooms in 1978 with the Airdyne — a dual-action, fan-resistance bike that delivered a true total-body cardio workout and became a staple of physical therapy clinics and athletic training rooms nationwide.

That Airdyne DNA lives on in today's Schwinn AD6 and AD7 air bikes, alongside a full range of upright, recumbent, and studio-style indoor cycling bikes like the IC4 and AC Sport built for serious training. Schwinn exercise bikes remain a fixture in home gyms, spin studios, and cardio rooms because they combine proven mechanical durability with the kind of smooth, adjustable resistance that holds up to daily high-intensity use, whether you're chasing calorie burn on an Airdyne or leading a class on an indoor cycling bike.
