Add Bluetooth to Your S4 Monitor
The WaterRower ComModule clicks onto the back of your S4 Performance Monitor to add Bluetooth wireless connectivity, turning it into an interactive, app-connected device. Once installed, it pairs with the WaterRower Connect app for tracking metrics and workout history, plus other compatible apps such as CITYROW GO for on-demand, instructor-led classes.

The WaterRower ComModule is a smart accessory that adds to the back of your existing S4 Performance Monitor, delivering your rowing metrics wirelessly over Bluetooth to a mobile or tablet app. Whether you're chasing the motivation of an on-demand, instructor-led CITYROW GO class or want to customize the WaterRower Connect performance screen and track your best 2K, the ComModule keeps you connected to your data every stroke of the way.
Setup is straightforward: fully charge the ComModule over USB (up to 8 hours on the first charge), remove the two screws holding your S4's stock battery cover, replace it with the included ComModule battery cover using those same screws, then click the ComModule onto the monitor's back until it engages the USB port. Pair it to the WaterRower Connect app by scanning a QR code or selecting the ComModule's ID number in the app. The module is self-contained and should not be opened without experience, and its battery should only be replaced with one of the same manufacturer and specification.
Note: the ComModule requires an S4 Performance Monitor Version 2 (with a USB port on the back). Original Version 1 monitors (RS232 serial port) need a separate S4 Monitor Board Upgrade to add USB support before the ComModule can be installed.
